People who remember that one fearful evening, will always recall how tense the atmosphere was. Even before it all began, there was something not quite right. Animals were agitated, the weather seemed to change violently. It was a sign of things to come. The flash of light before the roaring thunder.
Aiden Elrin daudled along by the riverside, collecting tinder wood and branches from the drooping trees. The young boy's task had been quite a handful this evening, as this was his second trip to collect wood for the fire. Apparently they were going to keep it burning right through till the late morning. The adults had assigned one another to stay awake and keep the embers going.
Aiden was relatively unaware of what was going on, really. It was certainly unusual for people to get so worked up, about one small fire. However, no one had told him about the strange goings on that had been occuring, this night. They probobly didn't want to worry him. After all, if nothing came of all of this, then everyone would have stressed over nothing.
However, this fateful night, did not have a happy ending, on the quiet island of Puru-Puru.
Suddenly, the ground trembled, and a high-pitched buzzing sound, briefly rang out.

Pounding the forest floor at a frantic pace, alknoves ran with no regard for what was ahead; so as long as it wasn’t what was still behind. Their eyes were wide with panic and confusion, the wolf-like nia at their feet. The entire forest was running from nature’s ill intent. The rush caused a loud uproar, but falling trees in the surroundings were louder. They created horrible snaps, like the forest’s bones were breaking. They were crying as they fell, creaking with reluctance to fall. Not too far off there was a sharp human cry, that of a little boy. Another was in the forest at this unfortunate hour. He attempted to call out for help, even when he could barely hear his own horrified breaths. Everything was frightened.

Whipped by the violent winds, branches were torn off the trees, crashing to the ground. The air was filled with sickening cracks as the woods split, taking out anything in the way on their path to the ground, smashing into the already wounded earth. Cracks split the very soil itself, creating crevices that seemed to never end. She trembled at the edge, looking down into what was most certainly death at the bottom. Animals stormed past, wary of what, she wasn't sure. The clouds were darkening, however, and the wind wasn't cooling off any time soon.

Aiden attempted to run, but in the wrong direction. He felt dizzy, and staggered around trying to hold onto any tree branches he could get hold of. But after a few seconds of staggering around in vein, he stumbled to the ground. The world shook fiercly, and he lifted his head up in time to witness a fissure in the earth near him. Terrified, the young Elrin pulled himself unsteadily to his feet, trying to find anyone else in the area. He was too scared to think straight. "Help! Is anyone there! P-Please!" The world shook again, and Aiden's legs wobbled frantically, forcing him to stagger to one side, and take support from another tree. "Anyone?!" He cried.

"You fucking numbskull! Get this off me!" The boy shouted with all his might. Anger was fueling the voice, for his frustration got the better of him. "Over! Here!" Breath was running short. He could see the boy as they clutched the tree, he could see him panic, and panicking would be the death of them all. If only he could move, he would run over and punch that scrawny good-for-nothing boy, but he needed that kid's help. "Why me. Why now." He muttered painfully, twitching the pinned leg and it numbed beneath the tree. More wildlife fled, and more limbs crackled.
